Some Pesky Plants Taste Great
Generally invasive plants like garlic mustard, kudzu, and Japanese knotweed are pulled up and controlled because of their tendency to crowd out native species. Some are now also being enjoyed at the dinner table.

One that farmers often try to get rid of, but some are smart enough to pick and sell, is purslane. It is the plant with the highest Omega-3 fatty acid content, and it's quite delicious. Nettles are great, too.
I was informed by a landscape designer that weeds are just a "plant out of place" so I don't consdider them pesky, and just another source of food.
